First, a family photo. This was taken the evening we celebrated Thanksgiving with Adrian's family. We were in his mom's backyard just before sunset. I set up the camera for our photos and Adrian did the "clicking" of the remote. I love this one so much I got it blown up to a 16x24 canvas for our wall. (On a side note, I totally recommend the company "Canvas On Demand". You can get their deals on Groupon and get a 16x20 canvas for $45.)

And when Mike & Af showed up, we had them jump into the shot as well.

That was my second attempt at getting family shots. Adrian and I had taken Abram to the park the previous weekend and I was disappointed overall. I wasn't sure how to get the focus dead on when I wasn't able to look in the viewfinder. I still found a few good enough for our Christmas card. This one was my favorite:

And here is the kind of picture I imagine myself taking if I get the chance to take family photos for someone, but it wasn't so easy to take this one myself! (In other words, excuse the blurry Abram face.)

Surely by now you are tired of seeing my mug and that gold sweater. Try not to mention it if you see me wearing it again!
I was so so so lucky to have another newborn photo opportunity just this week. I got "paid" with some fun little knit hats! Here he is:

We finally had a chance to hang out with the Jones family in November. Abram and Mason were quick friends. Their personalities seem pretty similar, and it is obvious how close in age they are. Here they are doing what is OBVIOUSLY fun for 20 month old boys:
1. leaning, wearing Mardi Gras beads, and chewing on Handy Manny tools

2. running wildly through the house with pointy objects

And LOOK! A toddler who didn't mind standing still for a second in front of my camera! This never happens with Abram. I really can nail focus, see???

At Thanksgiving, Brent, Cat, and Dagan came up for a visit. Here is my nephew, Dagan, looking darling:

And hoping to leave you with a laugh or at least a smile, here is an unedited outtake from my attempt to photograph the 3 grandkids together:
