Week 34

The week started with a quick family photo. Daycare requested that we send in individual and family photos. Of course I had 100s of Abram photos to choose from, but our last family photo was last November. I quickly set up the camera on the tripod and set the focus. Then I moved the camera back a few feet after I had already set the lens to manual focus. Oops. So, the grass in front of us about 2 feet is in perfect focus and we are all a little fuzzy, but we went from start to finish in about 5 minutes and got a good enough photo for daycare purposes.

We were in a rush so we could get to the zoo before it got crowded. We headed straight for the hippos. The hippo tank is always crowded, and despite our early arrival at the zoo, there were already people lining the entire view. I had to shoot pretty tight to keep strangers out of the photo. Sooooo... here's some hippo bokeh!

The hyenas are usually hiding back in the shade, but they both perked up when a toddler started screaming and crying on the other side of their display.

This was a quick trip to see a few animals, so that's all for the zoo!

Now for playtime. Abram is all boy. He loves cars, trains, and flying planes.

Plus we got to play with a friend this weekend. One of my oldest (and bestest) friends came into town for the weekend with her kiddos. Her son Jonah is just a few months older than Abram and the two boys got along like they had been friends forever.

Not the best photos - no shade as we were out playing in the pool.

I think it is about time for a real photo shoot for Abram. 2.5 year photos maybe... I have been really slacking the last few weeks with picking up my camera due to the start of the school year.
