I will still have a week 52 to post, but I haven't had time lately to do more
blogging/ writing on here and want to before the year is up!
My favorite things about 2011:
1. Seeing Abram learn so much and get his silly sweet personality
2. Spending more time with family and friends and doing more together as a family since Adrian got his promotion and regular schedule
3. Our trip to Colorado and seeing the incredible scenery and wildlife along with our first family camping trip (something I always imagined us doing regularly)
4. Watching the Cards this season and going to our first World Series game
Abram as a 2-year old:
* Always gives everyone hugs and kisses when he says bye
* Loves cars, trains, Toy Story, coloring, and pretending
* Identifies all his colors, many shapes, and some letters and numbers
* Counts to 10, but always skips 5
* Still loves to wear hats (and glasses/sunglasses)
* Is easygoing, and when he gets frustrated will start to cry then make a growling noise to calm himself down (I need to get a video of this - makes my heart melt every time b/c it is so cute!)
* Recently started drawing people with eyes, "happy mouth" or "sad mouth", hair, ears, legs and arms instead of just naming his scribbles
* Just started to make up songs and sing them
* Is scared of dinosaurs, but loves to pretend they are all around the house and that he has to run and hide to get away
* Never sleeps through the night, plus wakes at 6 a.m., only naps 1 hour, and goes to bed at 10:30 p.m., but is full of happy energy all day long
* Favorites according to Abram: color - blue, food - sandwich, animal - dog, book - Time For Bed, movie - Toy Story, t.v. show - Thomas the Train and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (couldn't decide)
Going on in our family:
* Awaiting new couches
* Always working on some home improvement (latest was Adrian installing new toilets and me getting rid of the popcorn ceiling in the family room)
* Doing more cooking at home and less going out to eat
* Thankful everyone is healthy including Jack, Lucy, and Hawk
Accomplishments:
* Adrian's promotion to supervisor
* Adrian and I trained together and ran our first 5k (maybe more to come in 2012)
* Starting my photography business
2011 will be hard to beat!
